  1. Wow. You've chosen a very relevant issue. I was wondering if your district already had a policy on bullying in place. Most districts do, but they're not always that specific about what constitutes bullying or on the consequences applied. Would your research include only bullying on campus (in person), or would you be including the newer (and harder to police) "cyber bullying"? There are so many disturbing stories in the news lately about how extreme bullying has become and how damaging it can be. Once again, great topic!

  2. Karen,
I think you have chosen a great topic. I'm curious if you will be completing your research on an elementary-level or middle/high school-level because although bullying occurs in both places, there are definitely differences in how bullies go about bullying other students. Do you have any specific schoolwide program that your campus is currently using? I'm sure your campus's teachers will find your research to be of great benefit.
Great plan! It is well planned out.

  3. Karen,

As an educator and more importantly as a parent, I commend you on researching the most important issue in education; students' safety. I like your direction and rationale for choosing the bullying topic. Two suggestions: 1. you may want to post a bullying video on your blog. 2. as Chelsey mentioned, you may want to address "cyber bullying".
